David Cowen recently retired as the public affairs manager for The Lubrizol Corporation. Starting at their Wickliffe, Ohio research and development facility in 1974, Dave worked successively as a synthesis chemist, process development engineer, and environmental engineer. He became assistant to the general manager of the Painesville, Ohio manufacturing facility in 1986 responsible for media, government, and community relations and analysis of plant operations.
