Connecting with Respect

ONE AND A HALF-DAY PROGRAM

Many training programs focus on awareness, but Connecting with Respecttakes learning to the next level.
This diversity program uses respect as a platform for understanding the broader concept of diversity and incorporates important information on how to change a culture and implement even better results. Participants walk away with the tools necessary to implement a plan of action for their desired respectful workplace vision.

The dynamic one and a half-day process integrates four major themes – Awareness, Behavior, Respect and Change - into a coherent and thought-provoking experience where participants explore the benefits of respectful behaviors in their personal and professional lives.

While the themes are crucial, the approach is practical and enjoyable. It incorporates “best in class” business practices, anecdotes, personal reflection and group discussion to help develop strategies for promoting personal growth and a more respectful workplace culture.

Think about “diversity” through a new set of filters.

By doing this, participants discover how each one of us can engage ourselves in the active process of creating more respectful workplaces and communities.

The Connecting with Respect process:

  • Helps participants define exactly what respect should look like within the workplace
  • Outlines the transition points from a culture of “tolerance” to “respect”
  • Identifies disrespectful behaviors that can damage morale and productivity
  • Explains the impact that stereotypes have on our actions and decisions
  • Explores the role that attitudes play in promoting respectful workplaces
  • Teaches specific tools for changing counter-productive behavior patterns
  • Promotes respect for both self and others as a foundational value
