What would your city look like if it instituted a Respectful Workplace Resolution?

Well, that is exactly what the Santa Fe City Council recently proposed as a preventive measure against escalating incidents of workplace violence and abuse.  According to the member of city council who proposed the resolution, she sees the measure not only as a health and wellness issue but also a “fiscal imperative.”

If this resolution passes, it will be the first of its kind in the nation. Such resolutions have been adopted by organizations but never by an entire city.

    Wow! I want to know more about how this works. I am an Organizational Development consultant and a citizen in a city where there appears to be a lack of respect internally (employees acting disrespecctively towards one another) and by the citizens towards the city government and workers. Tell me more!
